We are happy to share with you the results of our project The Future of Government 2030+. A Citizen Centric Perspective on New Government Models during the final event that will take place on 6 March 2019 at the European Parliament and the European Commission (Berlaymont) in Brussels.

The event will be hosted by MEPs Brando Benifei (S&D), Ivan Jakovcic (ALDE) and Franc Bogovic (EPP). It will gather various stakeholders, policy makers, CSOs, industry representatives, academics in the area of political science, public administration and design, as well as students of design who participated in the project.

The Future of Government 2030+ project brings citizens to the centre of attention. The wellbeing of people and society, as a key target of governmental decisions and activities, besides creating and maintaining sound conditions for businesses and the environment, is emphasized. The project addresses the question in a novel way by combining design and foresight approaches with citizen engagement methods, with a special focus given to citizens’ insights.

This event will start a dialogue on preferred models of government for the future. We invite the audience to dive into possible futures concepts and shape the future by playing the FuturGov game. At the end of the day, ideas will draw upon new forms of political decision-making and public service delivery and on how to get prepared for it.

FuturGov is a project led by DG JRC EU Policy Lab/ Foresight, Behavioural Insights & Design for Policy Unit in collaboration with DG CNECT eGovernment and Trust Unit.

Due to the limited number of available places, the registration will be required. Registration page and agenda will be published in the upcoming days, so stay tuned!
